Adam Oriti – Abstract Artist
I am a professional, self-taught artist from Brisbane, Australia.
Since going full time in 2005, I have been selling works online to homes and businesses all over the world. Primarily using acrylics on canvas with the occasional mixed media addition, thus producing different styles of work either as single canvas or large multi canvas abstract pieces. I was told once, “It’s impressive the way you employ colour”. I honestly think colour employs me, and I must work hard for it to bring out the best in what colour can give.
I was born in 1973, Brisbane, Australia. I relocated to Melbourne in 2000. This is where I became a prolific, internationally collected abstract artist. I have sold countless works to private collectors, medical centres, hotels and businesses worldwide. The countries include: South Africa, Canada, U.S.A, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, France, Mexico, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Greece, India, Cayman Islands and of course Australia.
In 2014 I returned to Brisbane after living in Melbourne for 14 years. While working on new ideas and painting the occasional commission, I attempted my hand at digital art and some new creative projects.
In 2018 I teamed up with software developer Roscoe Hart on collaborative projects, one being ‘pixel flowers’, a 1000 individual pixel flower collectable art set, and MyArtOnThings, which includes remastered images of my past paintings and digital art printed on various items.
2019 saw a new direction working alongside Oscar nominated costume designer Luis Sequeira (The Shape Of Water/Carrie/IT pt2) and his team in the costume breakdown/art finishing department for the movie Monster Problems filmed in Brisbane, Australia.
I’m occasionally back in the studio painting new intuitive abstracts, recently with a reprisal and fresh spin of one of my most collected and loved series: Oritree
